Berlin Street Games

If you're interested in these questions

then you're probably interested in this event

  • How could games alter this world of ours, from its organizations to economies?
  • How to use games as composers of culture?
Hand-drawn arrow through a circle, the Worldplay mark

The topic for our start:

playing with the city of Berlin itself

  • How to add games into a city, and make them stick to it?
  • How could such games be designed and played?
  • How could they sustain themselves and gather new players?

We'll present potential ways to create such games, and point out some interesting cases of such.

Among the cases:

Hobo Language as a game design kit.

Podcasts as city games, and walks as improvised roleplaying/larping.
Narrating over a city as a method of game design.

We hack together a collective prototype

And take it out for playtesting, after discussing ideas (bring your own ideas in the mix, however drafty they are)

This is easier than it sounds -- promise. Still, your participation style is flexible: If you want to just listen in, that works too.

Casino for Social Medicine
